Nursery Admissions
Our Nursery currently has an intake of 26 pupils at any one time. These pupils attend on a full or part-time basis and start in the September after they have turned 3. All children have access to 15 hours of free Nursery funding. Working families can access 30 hours of free funding. If you do not qualify for free funding, you can top up your free 15 hours, to 30 hours but there is a charge of £100 per week .
To apply for a school Nursery place please contact the school office. You will be asked to complete an admissions form and provide evidence of your child's date of birth through their passport or birth certificate.
All Nursery pupils and new parents will be invited to a 'Stay and Play' session in the summer term where they can start to become familiar with their new setting and staff members. Nursery staff will also do a home visit so they can find as much out as possible about your child before they start school. This ensures that your child's needs can be met and supports the building of our home, school relationship.
Reception Admissions
Admission for a Reception place needs to be done through the local authority that you live in. Please be aware that attendance at Sedgley Park Nursery, does not guarantee admission into Reception.
This year the admissions deadline for the September 2026 intake, is 15th January 2026. Parents will be notified of their offer on 16th April 2026.
Any pupil who is new to our school in Reception will be invited to a 'Stay and Play' session in the summer term and will have a home visit from the Reception team.
General Admissions
Our current intake is set at 35. For admissions into any year group please contact the school office or the local authority to see if places are available. Prior to admission we would encourage you to visit the school with your child. You will be given a tour by a senior member of staff whilst the school is in it's full working day. We would encourage you to interact with staff and pupils as we look around and ask as many questions as you like.
