Rights Respecting Schools

We are proud to be a UNICEF Rights Respecting School.

Sedgley Park wants to be a school where children's rights are at the heart of our ethos and cultures, to improve well-being and to develop all children's talents and abilities to their full potential. As part of this plan, we achieved our Bronze accreditation in January 2024 and our Silver accreditation in February 2026.

These awards recognise the school's acheivement in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child into practice in school and beyond.

UNICEF UK works with schools to create safe and inspiring places to learn, where children are respected, their talents are nurtured and they thrive. The Rights Respecting Schools Award supports schools to put in place a set of standards based on equality, dignity, respects, non-discrimination and participation. The values stem from the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
