Religious Education Policy
At Sedgley Park we follow the Discovery RE scheme of work. Discovery RE contains 50 modules which cover the six principal religions; Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Isla, Judaism and Sikhism (with relevant linked to Humanism).
Discovery RE uses 'The Owl Crew' as a tool to help children further engage with the process of enquiry. These allow the teacher to ask big questions through the owl and the children to ask the owl questions.
Parents have a legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of RE lessons.
