Our Eco Councillors carried out a school audit linked to the following areas:
Biodiversity
Energy
Global Citizenship
Healthy Living
Litter
Marine
School Grounds
Transport
Waste
Water
The Eco Councillors chose 3 of these areas to develop across school. Their chosen areas are:
Biodiversity
Energy
Waste
For our first project in the academic year 2024-2025, we focussed on waste and recycling.
We introduced recycling bins for paper and plastic in our lunch hall and organised a Bags2 School collection!

Our second project in the academic year 2024 - 2025 was linked to saving energy. We conducted a survey over lunch time to see if appliances and lights had been left on, when not in use.
To improve our energy efficiency we led an assembly to explain our results then set to work designing and making posters to display around school, reminding people to switch off lights and appliances when not in use. When we redid the survey again the results were much more positive.
We also saved the school money in electricity bills!

Our third project in the academic year 2024 - 2025 was linked to biodiversity. We looked at our school grounds and explored ways of attracting more wild life.
